Nutrition is compounds that are present in food that we eat daily. Our food contains different types of nutrients in food like carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals.

How much calories should we consume in a day?

It actually differs from person to person. The standard number of calories we should consume in a day is 2000. But it will be different if a person is an athlete, bodybuilder, or person looking for weight loss

Nutrition needed in a day:

We often do not track the calories that we take in a day and even some people do but they do not keep track of nutrients. For example, if someone had a small pizza so knows that it has almost 1000-1200 calories in a day but he surely does not know about the number of carbs and fat present in that particular pizza.

The standard nutrition for a day should be:

  • Protein – Bodyweight *1.5
  • Fat –   Bodyweight *0.5
  • Carbs- Bodyweight *2

Along with these, we should forget about all vitamins and minerals like omega 3, Calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, chloride, magnesium, iron, zinc, iodine, chromium, copper, fluoride, molybdenum, manganese, and selenium.

That’s why we should not only think about calories intake in a day but about other nutrients as well because 1200 calories from pizza and 1200 calories from fruits vegetables and eggs are different. You did not get anything but fat and carbs from pizza and from fruits, vegetables, eggs you can get protein, some carbs, a little fat, and lots of vitamins and minerals.

Eating a healthy diet is a must if you want to stay fit and healthy.
