Roasted Chicken Recipe (Indian Style)
Ingredients:
Chicken 800grams | |
Onion Chopped 2 Large | |
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp. | |
Oil/ Butter 3 tbsp. | |
Curd 1 cup small | |
Cinnamon stick 1 medium | |
Caraway seeds 1 tsp. | |
Bay leaf 3 | |
Black pepper 5-6 | |
Turmeric 1/4 th tsp. | |
Coriander powder 2tsp | |
Red Chilli Powder 1 1/2 tsp | |
Salt to taste | |
Garam Masala Powder** 2 tsp. |
Garam Masala** (Grind below ingredients) | |
1 cup coriander seeds | |
1 tsp cumin seeds | |
1 tsp caraway seeds | |
2-3 black Cardamom | |
2 heaped tsp Black pepper | |
1/2 inch Cinnamon stick | |
8 cloves | |
1 Star anise | |
1 mace | |
2 medium bay leaf | |
For Garnish:- | |
Coriander spring | |
Tomato Wedges |
Method:
- Take a pan, heat oil/butter and then add add all whole spices like caraway seeds, black pepper, cinnamon stick, and bayleaf.
- Add chopped onion and sauté them till it becomes golden, then add ginger garlic paste and let the raw smell goes off.
- Now take a bowl and mix coriander powder, turmeric, and red chilli powder with curd, and then add the mixture into pan. Let everything cooked on low heat till oil/butter separates.
- Add chicken pieces into the pan and let the chicken to cooked on its own juices.
- After 5 min. add garam masala** into it and mix it well. Add some water and cover the pan and cook it until the chicken became nice and tender.
- Roasted chicken masala( Indian style) is ready. Serve it with some fresh coriander, tomato wedges, and ginger on top. And enjoy it with Chapati, Roti, rice, any bread or have it as it is.
Is it healthy?

As far as health is concerned Yes it is very much healthy. l we can call it a best-ever roasted chicken. Because chicken has the most protein and fats in it and this recipe is the best way to eat chicken. Control oil/butter and add fewer spices to make it healthier but then taste will be compromised.

Chicken has the most protein as compared to other meats and food. If we think about the vegetarian option then there are only lentils, beans, and soy. but among non-veg chicken had the highest protein that can fulfill our daily protein need.
