Bada Imambara, also known as Asfi Imambara is an Imambara complex in Lucknow, India built by Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Awadh in 1784. Bara means big. This Imambara is the second largest after the Nizamat Imambara

2.     Chota Imambara

Another imambara near bara Imambara also known as chota imambara. Its in walking distance from bara imambara . its another beautiful heritage monument of lucknow. Actually it is smaller than the bara imambara that’s why they name it like that, but that does not mean it is less in any manner.

There are so many things inside it to see like how king live there. Inside you will find silver colour everywhere it feels like you are standing in a palace which is made of silver.

 Chota Imambara, also known as Imambara Hussainabad Mubarak is an imposing monument located in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It took 54 years to finalize it. Built as an imambara or a congregation hall for Shia Muslims, by Muhammad Ali Shah, the Nawab of Awadh in 1838,[1] it was to serve as a mausoleum for himself and his mother, who is buried beside him.

3.     Rumi Darwaza, Lucknow

 

Rumi darwaza is a sixty feet tall gate which lies between bada imambara  and chota Imambara . its beautiful architecture made it more special .  it is consider as gateway of old lucknow city.

The Rumi Darwaza in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, is an imposing gateway which was built by Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula in 1784. It is an example of Awadhi architecture. The Rumi Darwaza, which stands sixty feet tall, was modeled (1784) after the Sublime Porte (Bab-iHümayun) in Istanbul.

It is adjacent to the Asafi Imambara, Teele Wali Masjid in Lucknow and has become a logo for the city of Lucknow. It used to mark the entrance to Old Lucknow City, but as the City of Nawabs grew and expanded, it was later used as an entrance to a palace which was later demolished by the British insurgents.

4. Husainabad Clock Tower, Lucknow

Another famous monument near bada and chota imambara . Husainabad Clock Tower is a clock tower located in the Lucknow city of India. It was constructed in 1881 by Hussainabad Trust to mark the arrival of Sir George Couper, the first lieutenant governor of United Province of Avadh. It was built at a cost of Rs. 1.75 lakhs

8.  Nawab Wahid Ali Shah Zoological Garden

Its is the famous lucknow zoo. People intrested in animals and birds  can go there and enjoy, toy train is also one of the main attraction there. It is a must visit place in lucknow

The zoo receives about 1,100,000–1,200,000 visitors annually. The zoo is home to 463 mammals, 298 birds, and 72 reptiles representing 97 species, including the royal Bengal tiger, white Bengal tiger, Asiatic lion, gray wolf, hoolock gibbon, Himalayan black bear, Indian rhinoceros, blackbuck, swamp deer, barking deer, hog deer, Asiatic elephant, giraffe, zebra, European otters, hill mynahs, giant squirrels, great pied hornbill, golden pheasant, silver pheasant etc. The zoo is successfully breeding swamp deer, blackbuck, hog deer and barking deer, white tiger, Indian wolf and several pheasants. It is one of the only two zoos in India to exhibit an orangutan (the other being the Kanpur Zoo).

Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Prani Udyan earlier known as Prince of Wales Zoological Gardens or popularly known as Lucknow Zoological Garden  is a 71.6-acre (29.0 ha) zoo located in the heart of the capital city of Uttar Pradesh named after Wajid Ali Shah- the last Nawab of Awadh. The Central Zoo Authority of India categorizes it as a large zoo. The Prince of Wales Zoological Gardens, was established in the year 1921 to commemorate the visit of the Prince of Wales to Lucknow.
