Synopses: Overall it’s a family film; people who like a family drama with comedy will definitely like it. It’s doesn’t have any newness so it’s better not to expect too much but it will be fun to watch with your family.

Story/plot: Sanjay is a Rajput from Jahanabad which is known for honor killings. He is in love with Aditi, a Jat from Jaipur whose father and elder brother will kill to keep their honor. Both are very close to their families, yet they want to get married. In order to live together, they plan to con their families by arranging a set of fake parents and reliable allies so that Sanjay can show Aditi as a Rajput girl and Aditi can show Sanjay as a Jat boy to get married before eloping to the US. Will they manage to make it?

Quick Knows Rating 3/5

14 Phere begins strongly with the story of Sanjay falling in love with his college senior Aditi and wanted to get married but knowing that their families will not accept this relationship because of the different caste so they came up with the idea of fake parents and get marry twice with both families so that both families don’t have to face other. The whole movie spins around the marriage and both families who do not want inter-caste at any cost. But as the movie goes on it became more predictable and does not finish well.

Vikrant messy as usual tries his best to lift the movie on his shoulders. He is an amazing actor who fits himself in any role. One more good thing about the movie is Gauhar khan. She proves herself every time she looks funny and gorgeous in the role. Kriti Kharbanda has also done a decent job as there was not too much to do for her. This movie has humor and funny character which makes it watchable.

14 Phere definitely have a good cast and director Devanshu Singh also tries to make a movie that connects with people but the biggest drawback of this movie is the script,  we already have seen this type of movie so many times like ‘Mubarkan’, and when the movie became predictable there is no way people will connect to it. This film has a target audience of middle age who can enjoy this movie. Overall it’s a family film; people who like a family drama with comedy will definitely like it. It’s doesn’t have any newness so it’s better not to expect too much but it will be fun to watch with your family,
